Frugal Wench [ froo-guh l ] [wench] :

A personal style and fashion blog by two sisters on a budget. They thrift, they repurpose, they shop sales, they waste not, they know the value of an investment piece, and they don’t take themselves too seriously, but most importantly, they look good.
Ex: “That girl looks amazing in her $2 Calvin Klein jeans! What a frugal wench!”

Erin

Hi! I’m Erin, the older of the FW sisters. Shopping has always been one of my favorite hobbies. Once I grew up and realized I could wear some of my favorite clothes potentially for the rest of my life (no more getting shoes one size up to grow into!) shopping became more like a sport. I love the thrill of a deal and the feeling of wearing something I love. I also put a lot of effort into maxing out my wardrobe. For a while, I kept track of what I wore everyday so I wouldn’t repeat an outfit until absolutely necessary. I know that’s crazy but it’s too easy to fall into the same sweater and jeans every day. And I didn’t fill my closet to the absolute brim for nothing! Now FW is a version of my outfit log after a very public glow up.

Audrey

Hey! I’m Audrey, the younger. After wearing hand-me-down uniforms for the majority of my life, I am truly the master of reduce, reuse, recycle in clothing form. Well, maybe not the reduce… Anyways! I am focusing on bringing sustainability into my everyday closet by thrifting whenever I can. I love color, prints and texture in my wardrobe with a flare for the obscure. I get inspiration from everywhere but especially the mean girl characters from 2000s teen movies. I love how fashion can make you seem like a completely different person, like you’re stepping into character. When I style an outfit, I like to think what else would this girl wear. I live through my outfits.

Is this allowed? There’s a Haviana resurgence thanks to Matilda Djerf but I’ve never taken mine off.

At work. Wish I wasn’t. Women should have International Women’s Day off.
What’s the point of a dinner in LA? A friend’s birthday or a great mirror selfie? I know the frugal wench answer…
